The room worked so well for our family of six. It had two beds, a pull-out sofa, and enough space for the kids to play with their VR headset. There was also a kitchen with dishes and cutlery, a dishwasher, coffee maker, mid-sized fridge, and microwave. We’ll definitely stay again. Dylan checked us in Friday night and was warm, knew the train schedule and nearby places to eat, and was great with the kids. He brought extra towels, linens, and pillows. Breakfast was amazing, with eggs, oatmeal, cereal, waffles you make yourself, bagels, sausage, bacon, and more. The staff kept things sanitary and gave us five-star service. As someone from a small upstate NY town, that kind of care means a lot. The rooms are HUGE!

The radiator was the main problem: neither the wall controls nor the buttons on the unit would turn it off, so it ran all night and kept me awake. If you sleep heavily, I’d recommend this place for a short or longer visit. We were in town for an event and stayed one night. The newer hotel sits just outside downtown Poughkeepsie, near lots of plazas and stores. There was plenty of parking, spacious rooms with modern amenities, a free lobby breakfast buffet, plus a fitness center and indoor pool on the first floor.

Sandy made check-in easy, sent helpful texts about the stay, and even got us into our room early. The hotel was spotless, and our room was huge with a thoughtfully equipped kitchen that had everything we needed.

There’s a surprising amount of storage here, with drawers, cabinets, shelves, and a closet, so the rooms work well for families or longer visits. Home2Suites has my favorite layout of the chain hotels. The kitchen is adequately equipped with dishes, glasses, silverware, a microwave, and a small but not mini fridge with a freezer. You can ask for an induction cooktop, though there’s no oven, so don’t plan meals that need one. The property is only a year old, and the rooms and shared spaces are in new condition and very clean. There’s a coffee and tea station by the entrance, a small self-serve market with basics, snacks, and frozen meals for late night cravings, and convenient on-site laundry. Parking was easy, and the location convenient. It’s not the Ritz Carlton, but it’s much more practical. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.
