Super 8 Knoxville North/Powell

The bed was really comfortable, and the sheets were clean, but the room smelled like cat pee and smoke. The carpet needs to go. It has some potential, and it was convenient for visiting family, but we paid too much for what we got, lol.

The view of the hills is amazing, and the bathroom was really nice. We had a great stay, with friendly staff and a room that was great for the affordable price. WiFi was adequate, the cable selection was good, and the bed was amazing. We plan to come back soon!

The bed was so comfortable that I slept better than I do at home on my Sleep Number bed. In my book, we needed somewhere to sleep, weren't hanging around, and the price was good compared with the other options. It's dated and not pretty or bright, but it was clean and comfy. So don't tell my husband about the breakfast, and I'll happily take this win! We'd had a reservation mishap in Pigeon Forge and were left with few choices. Most places were booked or far too expensive, it was late, and we were desperate. I found this hotel at a good price. It was a bit far away, but not too bad, and the few reviews I read weren't horrible. Another couple was with us. The place looked a little sketchy when we arrived, but Candy greeted us and was so nice and helpful getting us set up. Back at the car, our husbands had found awful reviews and were worried about our choice. The rooms were very dated and had a very faint cigarette smell. After hearing about the reviews, we checked for bugs before putting anything on soft surfaces. My husband was sure we'd find something, but we didn't. The fitted sheet was inside out, no big deal. I showered after checking the towels and washcloths; they were clean, though one looked like it had been used to change a car's oil. It was only stained, but clean, and I got a new one from the office. The shower was touchy, switching between scalding hot and cold with no comfortable warm setting. I like it hot, though, and got clean. The bed felt comfy, and I woke up in the morning after a quiet night with no outside noise. I went down for breakfast while my husband slept in. There were only two kinds of cereal and bread for toast, not good choices for me as a diabetic. I brought him coffee and suggested Shoneys for when he woke up. He had no idea the breakfast would've evened up the score.

I stayed February 1st-2nd, 2026. The room and service were fine, but it was freezing when I got in. It was probably around 20° outside that night. I turned the heat up and slept in my jeans and hoodie.
