The location worked well for a small town, right on the main road and close to Pizza Hut and Maverik. Cody is a bigger, more appealing town, though, about a half-hour drive away. The room had comfortable beds and plenty of pillows, but there were problems everywhere else. The TV had a blue tint and was nearly impossible to watch. One bedside lamp was already the only one working when we arrived, and by the next morning it had stopped too, leaving just one light source. The heater kicked on in bursts every ten minutes and kept me awake. The shower head couldn't be adjusted, the curtain was too long and didn't do much, and the slippery floor could be unsafe for some people. The towels were stained and didn't seem clean. Both the room and hallways smelled bad, and noise from around the hotel carried right through. They apparently only clean rooms or change towels every three days. I get that it's meant to be better for the environment, but it could be unhygienic. Breakfast was poor: the waffle and juice machines were mediocre, and there were only four rock-hard, bland “chocolate chip” muffins, two oatmeal packets, watery oatmeal, and lousy coffee. With just two or three tables, the room felt cramped and could only fit a few groups. I wouldn't choose this hotel again.

We ended up leaving a day early and would never stay here again. The western decor suited the area from a distance, but up close it looked trashy, with mismatched screws holding things together. Our curtain had to stay closed because the dumpsters and gas station were right outside. There wasn't an iron or ironing board either. The worst part was being walked in on twice. Within ten minutes of arriving, another couple were given keys to our room and came in while we were relaxing on the bed. We were moved because our first room was accessible and they needed it. Then, the next evening, a couple entered again while my husband and I were naked and about to shower. We both screamed, and they left immediately. If you stay, use the chain lock if it works. Other guests said some of the locks were broken. They seem to lose track of which rooms are already booked. Breakfast was dismal. People reached into the bread bag with bare hands; there were no bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, eggs, or sausage. They had juice, milk, cereal, and a waffle maker tucked in the corner. It wasn't what we'd expected from other Super 8 motels, so we left to eat elsewhere and had an extra expense. After three days, we had to ask for clean towels and sheets. The shower wasn't cleaned, and the tub drained VERY slowly. The little commons room had a couch, but the employee who checked us in sat there with his bare feet up and once picked at them. We never used it. Just gross.

For the price, I couldn't ask for much more. The staff were friendly, parking was plentiful, and getting a trailer in and out was easy. My room was clean and in good shape, and the bed was comfortable. I had a good stay.

The room was clean, nicely decorated, and had comfortable beds. The updated decor suited the area, and it was decent value, especially compared with Cody. I wasn't blown away, but I'd absolutely stay again. We skipped breakfast and hit the road; the sign said it was served from 6 to 9 every day. A couple of things were awkward. The toilet and tub/shower room was cramped, and its inward-opening door hit the floor before it could open fully. As my husband put it, you had to back in to use it. At the entrance, the sink was right in the way of the door. The chain lock was completely missing, which bothered me because I like having that extra lock. The open closet with hangers and a luggage stand was standard. We had two beds because that was what was available with our late booking. There was no one at the desk when we arrived or left. We called on arrival and a nice man came right away, checking us quickly into room 122. For departure, I left the keys in the basket marked “leave keys here.” That seemed logical. I'll work around the rest, including that back-up-beeper routine getting to the toilet, beep beep beep.

For this area, the price was low, and the location felt secure. Pizza Hut and a convenience store are right next door, which was a bonus. The hotel was super quiet, and we enjoyed our stay. The dog did too. Staff were courteous and professional. Wyoming empties out in winter and fills up in summer, so running a good hotel there is a challenge. These folks did a great job. I don't understand how it's only a two-star hotel. It should be more, and we'd totally stay again.
