The Market ended up being a daily stop for us. We skipped Verbana since its menu didn’t have much we wanted, but The Market had breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus pastries, cookies, ice cream, cakes, salads, and drinks. Breakfast gets hectic, though it was usually quiet right at opening. The cinnamon rolls and iced mochas were favorites, and the ginger molasses cookie became my daily pick. We also tried avocado toast, oatmeal, a breakfast burrito, hummus, beet salad, a charcuterie board, and cocktails. All were very good. We came for the Hallmark Experience in Kansas City. My boyfriend wasn’t happy with the downtown hotels he’d looked at, so he booked this one and chose the biggest room on the 3rd floor to avoid noise from above. The room was spacious, with windows all around and shutters for privacy. The hotel was clean, the staff welcoming, parking plentiful, and the elevator was easy to find just to the right when you walk in. It was quiet, too. Two things bothered us: the balcony lights were large and bright, and stayed on. Covers over the bedroom door didn’t block them, so I needed my sleep mask. Also, the couch and chairs were uncomfortable. My butt went numb watching TV, and at 5'5, 105, I couldn’t relax in the straight backed chairs. My boyfriend is 6'4, 200 and found them miserable too, though we could manage the table chairs for a little while. Even with the seating, I really liked the hotel. It felt like home, and I’d stay here again if I’m back in the area.

The lobby and market place fireplace was a lovely touch, and the location worked well for us, including for activities on the Kansas side. I was here for a mother-daughter weekend. Our rooms felt high end and had plenty of space. We had a wonderful stay at Meadowbrook and will definitely come back this summer.

Darian and Raven deserve a big shout out. They made a point of making each visit enjoyable, and the staff are friendly and personal. I’ve been coming to KC for medical clinic appointments for 3 years and have tried several hotels near the clinic. Meadowbrook outshines them by a large margin, with the cleanest rooms and a wonderful facility. I highly recommend it. Sincerely, Rick Metherd

The staff surprised us with an upgrade to the Grand Suite when we arrived for our wedding night. Such a kind gesture, and it made the stay feel perfect, a lovely way to finish our wedding day. My husband and I love the Inn and recommend it whenever we can. We’ll definitely be back!

The restaurant and market connected to the hotel were just as great as the stay. We came for a one night birthday staycation for my wife, and everything felt right, from the beautiful grounds and big, nicely decorated rooms to how clean and meticulous everything was. The staff gave us a warm welcome. Even little details other places miss were handled well, right down to the fancy “wood” key card. We’ll definitely be back.
