Baymont by Wyndham Pratt

The room was spacious and had a couch, small microwave and mini fridge. The bed was very comfortable, and the carpet and furniture looked fairly new and in good condition. But we couldn't get help with the TV. There were two remotes, and I accidentally switched away from Cox cable and couldn't get back. The second remote had Netflix and Prime buttons, but no programs were available. A card by the TV listing channels and station numbers would help. At 5:30 P.M. the only person around was the check-in desk worker, with a cleaner getting ready to leave. The desk worker couldn't suggest a restaurant on an early Saturday evening, so we stayed in. There was a card offering pizza, but no other options?

The gentleman at the desk was friendly and helpful when we arrived late. There are four hotels very close by, and the location is convenient if you're in the area. The rooms are somewhat dated, but clean and cared for. So far, so good. I expect a standard breakfast, including the waffle bar the helpful desk clerk mentioned, and will update if it's especially good or disappointing.

The woman working in the dining area was so friendly and made a great meal, though I didn't catch her name. Linda at the front desk was just as welcoming and helpful. She made it feel like you'd stepped into her own home.

The breakfast wasn't quite as nice as IHG's, but it was good enough. The room here was really nice: clean, no smells, and furnished with a desk, couch, TV, king bed, closet and a good-sized hotel refrigerator. The front desk woman talked me through the room choices and asked whether I had AAA, which I often forget to mention. I usually stay at Holiday Inn Express, next door, and had gone there first. The guy at the desk just told me to swipe my card, without giving the rate or explaining the room. When I asked, he quoted $156 with tax, so I left. Baymont in Pratt was substantially cheaper with or without the discount, and my last few IHG stays weren't as good. I'm probably switching to Wyndham.
