Moore's Motel

The location was convenient for where we needed to be, but I wouldn’t stay here again. For what we paid per night, it felt like a rip off, and I’d look for another option if I came back. This is very much a motel, nowhere near a resort, and it needs major updates. The gentlemen outside were friendly when we arrived and directed us inside to check in while admiring my husband’s truck. The woman at the counter seemed to have the usual city attitude and could use an update, since she’s no longer in the city. Then we went to the room. The cleaning supplies left an atrocious smell as soon as we opened the door. The bathroom was tiny, and unless you have a supermodel body, you’ll knock the toilet paper roll onto the floor a couple thousand times. The toilet barely flushed and had a permanent stain, though the sink and shower seemed to be the only well-maintained things in the room. The air conditioner ran off the light switch, so to turn the light out at bedtime we had to unscrew the bulb. The fridge looked like it had been dropped down a flight of stairs. The microwave was disgusting and smelled like it was on fire while heating anything. If you don’t want staff in your room during your stay, tell them, or they’ll come in every day. This was not a great stay. Good luck!

Debbie, her family, and the whole motel team made our crew feel welcome and looked after throughout almost a year of work on a huge local project. The rooms are clean and up to date, and the motel is conveniently located. Everyone has been professional and accommodating. Highly recommend staying here.

They were well set up for our bike-riding group during Thunder in the Valley. Each night they had a fire pit lit for us, and in the morning there were towels to wipe down the bikes. It’s a quiet little town, with a few nice places to eat and enjoy a cold beer after a day of riding.

The Baker's were so friendly, a real reflection of what Prattsville is all about: its people. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly, and the value was second to none. Thank you so much. We’ll be back in the summer.
