I hadn't stayed here before and it turned out better than I expected. The staff were welcoming, the room was great, and breakfast was awesome. I'll be back. If you're looking for a place in Prescott, book here and you won't be disappointed. Enjoy your stay.

We came for our 26th wedding anniversary in Jan 2026 and had a beautiful stay. The place was full, but still quiet and tranquil, and we slept really well in the excellent beds in both rooms. Our deluxe King room had an awesome jetted tub, much appreciated after a hike around the lake when we were sore. Both balconies had lovely views, and the blackout curtains let us sleep as late as we wanted. The location is convenient for shopping, restaurants, and pretty much anything in Prescott and Prescott valley. Breakfast was great, and the lobby had a nice fire and a dining area where we could play games and hang out. I loved the welcoming, pleasant lobby and its old fashioned charm. It feels classy without being snobbish or showy, and I got to play the piano. I don't think I want another hotel without one you can play, as long as you can play decently. The staff were amazing and down to earth. Amy checked us in and was warm, welcoming, and accommodating. Amanda is new but was always eager to help, even late at night. Carmen looked after the lobby and breakfast area, with phenomenal attention to detail and to our needs. Bob suggested places to enjoy, though my wife wasn't interested, and he handled our room upgrade on the second day. I forgot the Assistant manager's name and wasn't sure whether the gentleman with her was the manager, but they were both very helpful in making the room change go smoothly. There were a couple of minor repairs needed, and we're definitely planning to return. The shower in the first room drained slowly, an easy fix, though I can see it bothering some guests. The fireplace in the upgraded room only had a tiny glow in one area and didn't seem to work properly. It wasn't a big deal for us, but if it's part of the room, it should work. We were honestly sad to leave and head back to work in the valley of doom. This isn't the newest or fanciest place, but it's our kind of hotel.

The hotel has a lot going for it, with a beautiful flowing staircase, a pool, and a patio area, and the front desk staff were super friendly and gave us lots of information. But the stay fell short. We didn't sleep well, maybe because of the pillow, and the breakfast was a huge disappointment compared with the reviews. We went at 9:30 a.m., though breakfast runs until 10:30, and there was no fruit. The sausage was very dry from sitting in the pan too long, the yogurt had expired and tasted off, so we didn't eat it, and the machine orange juice was watery. The scrambled eggs were okay since I prefer them not wet. The pastries were super dry, and aside from the waffles and maybe the dry oatmeal, the food was honestly horrible. When I tried to check out, the morning desk attendant wasn't paying attention and was chatting with a guest eating breakfast, so I left the keys on the counter and went. It's not a bad place, but don't book it just for the supposedly great breakfast. Better sleep and breakfast would have made this a five-star stay. The front desk attendant could have used a tic tac, too.

We found the Forest Villas Hotel this weekend while visiting for an Embry Riddle graduation, and wish we'd known about it at the start of the school years when we used to visit Prescott. The place was a very pleasant surprise. It keeps a nostalgic feel while offering professional service, very clean rooms, fresh cookies and coffee when we arrived, and a generous breakfast bar. It also looked beautiful for Christmas.

We had a wedding to get ready for and they kindly let us check in early. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the staff have a lot of personality, which made our stay fun. The gardens and plants are stunning. Whoever looks after them is a real master of their craft.
