We left without staying. There was no one at the front desk; another woman had already waited ten minutes, and after I waited the same amount of time, nobody appeared. Through the desk area I could see an unmade bed and a TV left on. The pool was filthy, and gnats were around the eating area beside check-in. My husband was furious. I requested a refund through Booking.com and emailed the property again, but got no response either time. Even a partial refund or at least a courteous reply would have been better than nothing. I’m disgusted and angry, and will contact the BBB and local health department. I’ll tell everyone, “DO NOT PATRON THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!” 😤😡

There’s a liquor store/kwikee mart down the street that stays open till midnight, handy for a late snack. The hotel is pet friendly and conveniently placed for travel up or down the Delmarva peninsula. The room and furnishings felt a bit dated, though that might just be the pet-friendly rooms.

We’d heard negative things, but went to see for ourselves. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. The rooms are nice after a recent renovation, though you can still spot some of the work, and for the price it’s worth it. Breakfast was the weak point, but there are restaurants down the road. Highway noise carries into the property, which is just the location.

The grounds are pretty, with seed birds around the place, and I liked seeing the staff feed them. Rooms are clean, the staff is very nice and accommodating, and the AC blows ice cold. The bed wasn’t very comfortable. There’s no cable or satellite, but the smart TVs have multiple streaming services. The pool is 5 feet deep, and the entry and exit gates only open from the outside. There’s a gazebo with a grill and smoking area, plus smoking and non-smoking rooms. It’s a good place to stay.
