We stayed in three Alii Kai airbnbs. Two were great, and the third was nice except for a strong mould smell coming from the washer-dryer area.

Our 2 BDRM, 2 BA condo was comfortable and had a great view. It was an older place, but had nice amenities, including a full kitchen and washer and dryer. We rented through Vrbo. It's on an upper floor, so the stairs could be a problem for anyone with physical limitations.
The rooms are apartment-like, with amenities, and mine had a nice ocean view. They were clean and pleasant, but very expensive. The property has rentals and condos where people live full time, and it gives access to the coastline and Turtle Cove. For visitors, park at the golf course, then walk down the road to the gap between buildings 3 and 4 at the end. Take the steep trail down to ocean level and you'll see a cave, Turtle Cove. Turtles are always sleeping inside, so don't disturb them.
This was our second time renting an Airbnb in Ali Kai Resort, and both condos were really nice. They were very clean, had plenty of amenities like beach chairs and coolers, and both had great views. There was no AC, but the provided fans kept things pleasant. Each place also had everything we needed to cook in the kitchen.
Good room for the price, with Hanalei and other beaches close by. There were too many roosters around the grounds, though that's Kauai in general. The back porches look out over either the ocean from a cliff top or the mountains.
