Dinner at the resort was great, but the valet lost our car. The lot was at 120% capacity, with cars double parked all over. We waited more than an hour while they said the car was gone and they had no idea where it was. The front desk supervisor said she couldn’t help because we weren’t resort guests and told us to deal with the contracted parking service. The valet manager then said our family would have to search the dark parking lot in the rain. I seriously can’t make this up. About 75 minutes later they finally found the car. Don’t trust your car to this resort’s valet service. They might want to update their practices.

We didn’t want to leave Hanalei Bay Resort. The grounds are beautifully maintained, the views are breathtaking wherever you are, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. Our clean, spacious two bedroom suite felt homey, with a spectacular view from each sliding glass door. We loved Happy Talk Lounge, and the gorgeous beach is only minutes away on foot. If you’d rather not walk, helpful employees can take you there and back by golf cart. The walk toward Hanalei Beach/Bay has jaw dropping views too. This is the most beautiful resort we’ve ever seen, and it exceeded all our expectations. Hanalei Bay Resort is our happy place now. We’ll tell our friends and loved ones about HBR and will 100% return in the near future. Mahalo Hanalei Bay Resort for helping our family make special memories together.

We loved the room and grounds, and the beach access was great. There were chairs to use for free, and the food and drinks were great too. Parking was the one complaint: you don’t get a spot with your room, it costs $20+ a day, and they routinely park cars behind you during the dinner rush. If you want to go anywhere then, you have to get a valet.

The view over Hanalei Bay and the surrounding mountains is excellent. I loved the flowers and local birds, and my kids were delighted by all the nenes roaming around. There’s a great pool for younger kids, and Hanalei is a pretty quick drive away. We’ll be back.
