The ocean view and peaceful setting made this feel like a home away from home. Hanalei was only a short drive away, too. My wife and I had a wonderful stay, and we plan to come back. We even named one of the local roosters Tim, so we’ll have to see him again.

You get a fair deal for the price, though it depends on who you rent through, whether VRBO or Airbnb. Most units I saw seemed clean and updated, but a few still had beds that felt 30 years old and were hard as a rock.

It feels spacious and has a local character, and the location works really well for a Hawaiian island getaway. If I make it back to Kauai, I’ll stay here again.
