For a longer stay, the rooms and neighborhood were nice, and having a washer and dryer, dishwasher, and other amenities made things easy. The solar water heater is the one drawback. Its electric backup only runs on a timer, and in late October Princeville doesn’t get much sun, so it’s easy to run out of hot water.

The house has three bedrooms, private parking, and a well equipped kitchen, which helped keep costs down while giving us the comfort and privacy of home. It’s clean, lovely, and centrally located in the Princeville resort community, with a relaxed Hawaiian feel and thoughtful touches. From here, beaches, shopping, farmers markets, golf, restaurants, tennis, a walking and jogging path, a park, and a playground are all close by. I own a wedding business and highly recommend this vacation home. The north shore of Kauai is spectacular, and Princeville at Hanalei is hard to beat for a stay on the island.
