The pool and Clubhouse Gym are great, and Unit 111 at Princeville Plantation is in a very nice location. Hawai’i life was difficult to communicate with. Our biggest issue was the chicken trap in the backyard. Sitting on the porch in such a lovely setting, we watched doves being pecked to death by roosters trapped in a cage. It was horrific and inhumane to witness.

The condo was comfortable, nicely decorated, and well appointed, with a nice pool and hot tub. There was no coffee or groceries, and only a few condiments and spices, so bring your own. It's quite far from Kauai's sights, and Lihue or Wailua would be better places to stay for sightseeing.

Queens bath, Hanalei Bay, and hikes along the Nā Pali coast are all nearby, which makes the location convenient for some great Kauai spots. Just plan for longer drives to the south side. There's only one road around the island, and during winter months expect some in the area.

We had a great two weeks at the Plantation at Princeville. Liz managed the unit and was easy to reach, taking care of any issues that came up. The place had room for all four adults to spread out, and the full kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook. I'd recommend staying here and would come back.

The luau was a lot of fun and well worth going to. Especially go for the great show!
