The room got unbearably hot, easily into the 80s, and nothing the staff suggested helped. The after-hours emergency number belonged to someone who hadn't worked at the Ellery since 2023. When we texted the number from the check-in instructions, we were told to lower the room thermostat, though there wasn't one. Then we were told to find a thermostat in the hallway. I don't know if that did anything, because opening both windows to the 20-degree night was the only thing that made the room bearable. It still wasn't comfortable. I book a hotel room to sleep, so the staff, amenities (one robe? Thanks.), and location don't make up for this. Even if offered a free stay, I'd gladly spend $200 of my own money elsewhere. Avoid!

We stayed in a cottage from 12/31/25 to 1/2/26 and had a wonderful time. It was easy to walk around and visit local shops; use the vouchers, Far Land is awesome. We parked in a public lot away from the hotel, but that wasn't a problem. The room was clean, warm, and comfortable, with a king bed, a porch, and a shower I loved. A staff member regularly checked in to make sure we were enjoying ourselves.

Paul, the innkeeper, made our stay especially nice. He was kind, fun, and had plenty of advice for first-time visitors. The hotel itself has amazing amenities, including a steam room, sauna, and hot tub. I don't know where else you can find all that. We loved the space and can't wait to visit P-town and stay at our favorite hotel again.

We loved relaxing outside in the garden and patio, and the evening wine and cheese hour was a treat. The rooms blend vintage charm with a clean, updated, luxe feel. Staff were welcoming from the moment we arrived and made us feel well looked after. With restaurants, art galleries, and beaches just steps away, finding things to do was easy. Our Provincetown stay was perfect, and we'd recommend The Ellery Hotel.

The hotel was spotless and decorated beautifully for Christmas, but the little missing comforts added up. Our second-floor room, #14, had no thermostat, and the heat was so overwhelming we had to open the windows during a snowstorm to breathe while sleeping. There was no bathroom waste bin, no water or cups, and the bathroom light switch was outside, making a middle-of-the-night visit tricky when we didn't want to wake each other. We eventually found a recycling bin behind the bureau. Breakfast wasn't included, not even fruit or muffins. During the snowstorm, the steps had about 3 inches of snow and hadn't been shoveled. At checkout, nobody was there to ask how things went or say goodbye. It looked like the perfect hotel, but these details matter. We'll stay elsewhere next time.
