Harbour View Suites

We paid $1700 from 4 pm Friday until 10 am Monday for the upstairs room tucked away in the corner. It was okay and clean, but the beds were awful, super thin and cheap, with springs popping when you lay down. I was bitten twice on my back and once on my head by a spider, and the bites are infected. When we reached the top of the 14 very narrow, steep stairs, we looked up and saw the ceiling covered in big black spiders. I’m seeing a doctor tomorrow. After check-in, we never saw a single employee, and the room wasn’t cleaned at all during our stay. Margaritas on the rock had the most expensive food and beer I saw on the Island. A Bud Light was $8, while most bars were $4.50. My taco and beer cost $28. The food was good and the atmosphere was too. Avoid that upstairs corner room.

For groups of more than three or four, this is definitely the way to go. The room was great, with two full bathrooms and a full kitchen: big fridge, full stove and oven, microwave, and dishwasher. The beds were very comfortable, and the place was quiet while still being barely a mile from downtown. I’ve stayed at the regular hotel near the island’s main strip, and this was WAY better. The same person also rents golf carts from here for far less than elsewhere, $30 a day.

I rented the Studio for one night. It was quaint and quiet, away from the party area, with a nautical feel, high ceilings, a kitchenette, central A/C, and a high-end look. The friendly manager was willing to accommodate us, and golf carts are available on site. A great family-friendly place. I’d make it my first call for another trip to P.I.B.

We stayed in the accessible ground-floor studio and it was lovely, with more room than we needed. This is a sweet, quirky family-run hotel, more like a B&B than a chain. I’d definitely stay again.
