Islander Inn

The room was clean and really comfortable, and the staff were amazing. They were friendly and even offered to call us a cab when we checked out. We loved the swim-up bar and hot tub. The lazy river would have been great too, but the water was cold because it was 65 out. The bartender was super friendly, greeted people, and chatted with us about the island and the other islands, sharing ideas about what to do next. I can’t thank the hotel staff enough for making this the best vacation I’ve had in my 27 years.

The pool layout and vibe felt island-like and fun, and we had a wonderful stay just after Labor Day. The staff were fantastic, the location was great, and the beds were comfy. Everything was clean and fresh. My only comments are that the shower was small and there was no coffee in the room.

The pool bar was a highlight for us, with excellent drinks that were generously prepared. The rooms and common areas were exceptionally clean, and everyone from the front desk to the poolside bartenders was welcoming, attentive, and professional. I’d read some older reviews and wasn’t sure what to expect, but the more recent ones reflect the positive changes under the new ownership. The owners are actively involved onsite, and you can see their care in how the property is looked after. The atmosphere was inviting and well maintained. We had a wonderful experience at the Islander Inn, which exceeded our expectations. It’ll be our preferred place to stay when we visit Put-in-Bay.

We had a blast on the island this weekend and had so much fun at the pool bar with Brittany. The hotel was a great part of the trip, and getting around in the golf cart was easy and convenient. We’ll definitely come back to this location. Thanks to the owner and his family!
