Quality Inn & Suites Quakertown - Allentown

I spent about two weeks here. The rooms were clean, the service was top notch, and it was a pretty good value. I’d definitely recommend it over the other value hotels nearby, which aren’t half as nice or clean.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! They quoted one rate, then claimed I owed a completely different amount and charged my card the difference anyway when I disputed it. And hotel staff get into fights with customers in the parking lot. You’ve been warned. Reply: Funny how there’s “no accout” when Danny was out there arguing with the person in room 147, right next to mine.

I booked for about two weeks and wound up staying a little over two months. Everyone, from maintenance to the front desk, was friendly and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable, and there were plenty of good options at the free breakfast. A lot of guests seemed to enjoy the outdoor grilling area, and it’s a very family-friendly place. I’ll definitely return next year when I’m back, and might stop in for a few days before I leave the area.

The self-serve waffles were good and the coffee was hot, but that’s about all I can say in its favor. The hallways smelled musty and felt damp. Our room was clean when we arrived, then one of two roaches scurried out from under the bathroom door. The fridge wasn’t cold at check-in. My husband turned up the dial, and it started humming, so we thought our refrigerated food would be safe until morning. Instead, water leaked from the door, and our yogurt, cottage cheese, and sliced cheeses were warm and had to be thrown out. That meant adding a shopping trip to our vacation. At night we thought one or more trucks were idling in the parking lot. It was the air conditioner. We’d just traveled 15 hours and were exhausted. If it hadn’t been so late, we never would have stayed. I’d suggest anywhere else.
