Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Quincy I-10 by IHG

After driving over 800 miles, we just wanted a room to sleep for a few hours, but they refused us because it was after midnight. The clerk said the rooms shown online were for a 2pm check-in that day, then sent us to a competing business. The parking lot was nowhere near full, so it seemed like rooms were available and he just didn't want to sell one. Poor business practices. Country Inn & Suites is 15 minutes east, over 30% cheaper, and just as nice, maybe better.

My parents spent one night here, and my dad came away with bites all over his back and shoulders. They now have to throw away most of their belongings so they don't bring an infestation home. They also saw a roach run across the floor on the morning they checked out. Bed bugs! Don't stay until the hotel treats the infestation. Do better, Holiday Inn.

The hotel itself was great, but after check-in I'm no longer comfortable with the staff. I've stayed here many times and never had a problem before. Shay was very rude and apparently I interrupted her lunch. She assumed instead of taking two seconds to listen, then caused a disturbance and screamed at me rather than doing her job. That's highly unprofessional. There wasn't another hotel in the area, so I almost drove to Tallahassee. This is a Holiday Inn, not the hood. Get some customer service training.

The room was very clean and quiet, with a microwave, coffee maker, and fridge. The bed was comfy and the pillows super soft. The heater was a little loud, but it didn't keep me awake.
