The Atrium Hotel on Third

The food was wonderful, and after the meeting an employee checked that everything had been to our satisfaction before cleanup started. Melissa greeted each of our staff at the door and personally showed them to the room. We booked a small conference room for our monthly business meeting and arranged catering through the hotel. They had the room and food ready before we arrived, and someone met us outside to help carry our things in. If service is the key to success, the Atrium Hotel in Quincy, IL should do very well for years to come. Thanks to Melissa and the Atrium staff for treating our group so well. We highly recommend the Atrium Hotel in Quincy, IL!

I stayed three nights during the renovation, so I can’t give a fully accurate review. The staff were excellent, and the place has a lot of potential. They did the best they could with what was available, and I have no complaints. I feel like this hotel could be four stars.

The pool was closed, and they didn’t tell us before or during check-in. Once they finally mentioned it, they said there was nothing they could do because we’d already checked in, so we couldn’t get a refund. Our room was small and the sheets were dirty. The front desk staff didn’t seem very friendly or happy to be there. The halls and elevator smelled like weed, though thankfully our room didn’t. They also required a $500 deposit, which I’d never been asked for at any hotel before. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I decided not to stay after seeing how much they wanted to charge me for less than ten hours. On top of the room charge and regular deposit, they wanted another $500 just because I live locally. I understand a standard deposit for incidentals, but I’ve never been asked to pay an extra one for being from the same town. It felt like a scam. Forget that.
