Grand River Resort

The girls had fun with the pool, mini golf, and things to do around the area. Our family, including Grandma, spent a lovely week at Grand Review Resort in a clean, comfortable two-bedroom cabin. The owners were warm and personal, and everything was so clean that we didn’t have to worry about it. Grand River is excellent, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a stay near Truman Lake.

For spoonbill season, we’ve stayed with Diane and her husband for the past three years, and they’ve always made us feel like family. This year we chose their A Frame cabin. We had a large two-bedroom cabin the first year, then an efficiency cabin last year, but the smaller one suits us and our service dog better. Thanks, Grand River Resort, for making every visit our best!

We’d be happy to stay again, ideally in warmer weather so we can use the pool and mini golf. My husband was here for work, and once we learned he’d be in a cabin, we turned it into a little family getaway. The cabin was clean, and we liked its layout and the feel of the facilities. It’s dated, but well maintained and a great find for the price. We had a really good experience and gladly recommend it.

The employees were mostly friendly, and the beds seemed clean. We had a fun weekend, so I wouldn’t call the stay awful, but I probably won’t return. I visit the Warsaw area three or four weekends a year and have stayed at several resorts and cabins. For the same price, we’ve found places that seemed much cleaner. The units here are very outdated, which by itself wasn’t a big deal, but our couch looked like it came from a thrift store. Its cushions sank so far that our legs rested on the board at the front, and it smelled off. When we made breakfast, some dishes were dirty and one pan had green liquid in it. The air conditioning barely reached the bedroom, so the people sleeping on the hide-a-bed in the living room froze while trying to keep the bedroom comfortable. There were also several large, noticeable carpet stains. The pool would have been a nice perk, but it wasn’t open.
