Breakfast was a letdown. The coffee and juice were watery, there was no butter for toast or cream cheese for bagels, and the pan where scrambled eggs usually were was empty. No yogurt or hard-boiled eggs either, though those things had been available on our earlier visits. We've stayed here several times and usually had a pleasant stay, but this trip didn't make us want to come back. Check-in was also rough: they couldn't find our confirmation and eventually put us in rooms under someone else's name. The staff weren't very friendly, and there were spots on the comforter.

My ride from Shelby took until 2:30 p.m. the next day to reach me, and I couldn't afford another night. Even though checkout was at 11:00 a.m., the staff let me stay warm and gave me food while I waited. I was stranded there from Shelby, North Carolina, and they were kind and generous about it. I really appreciate how hospitable they were. I'd recommend this place again and again. We need more people like that in the world. Thanks, guys, and God bless!

The pool smelled like urine, and there weren't any towels ready. The room had a terrible smell too, and breakfast was really cold.

At breakfast, a sign on the door said taking any food back to your room would cost $15.00, so you couldn't even have breakfast in bed after paying a good amount to stay. Before that, the hotel threw out my dinner and didn't replace it or offer to. The staff treated me so badly that you'd be better off in the nearest cardboard box. Don't let the apparent savings fool you. Run!

The kids could burn off energy in the pool after a long day of driving, and the rooms were clean. For a cheap hotel, the service was great. The staff did a really good job.
