The staff were friendly and very accommodating, and the food was great. We had both breakfast and dinner, and enjoyed them, and the women tending the bar were great too. The room was spacious, but on a hot day it still wasn’t cool even with the thermostat set to 67°. The front desk said the rooms use motion detection, so the air doesn’t cool unless it detects someone in the room. The website showed a pool, but there wasn’t one when we arrived. We were told it had been filled in about a year earlier.

The rooms are okay, and the hot showers stayed hot without the temperature dropping. My only issue was the lack of a microwave in the room. You have to go downstairs to the lobby to heat, reheat, or cook microwave meals.

We had a great weekend here with my family. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and didn’t feel cramped like many hotels. All the staff were friendly, especially Erick at the front desk. It was nice being greeted whenever we came and went. The location worked well, just an Uber ride from the restaurants we planned to visit, and the drive wasn’t bad when we wanted to go farther out. Checkout at 12 o’clock was nice too. My only downsides were that there were no microwaves in the rooms and the pillows went flat overnight, so I had a little trouble sleeping. I’d recommend this place for a weekend getaway and hope to come back.

I had trouble getting a receipt for my expense report, but when I called, the manager who answered was prompt and helpful. They explained what had happened so I could correct the mistake. I’ll be back. The hotel is wonderfully run, and the customer service from the DoubleTree team was better than at some 4- and 5-star and boutique hotels I’ve stayed in. Everyone was pleasant and engaging. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable, with a modern TV and clear picture. The streaming apps worked too, which I mention because I usually hate hotel TVs. One small issue: the water in my sink barely got lukewarm, while the shower did get hot. I didn’t take off a star because the service was that good.
