Raleigh Marriott City Center

The location is great, and I liked the restaurant. My room was clean and comfortable, though the gym and pool area were very hot. The pool could use an update, but it was usable. Parking is convenient, although the spaces are extremely small. Our regular SUV fit, but when we came back another time with a van, we had to park in a nearby city lot. The weekday rate was fine, while the weekend price felt much too high.

The main issue was noise. There isn't much insulation, so I could hear people in the hallway and in the rooms beside mine. Aside from that, I had a great stay. The staff were friendly and attentive, the room was clean and modern, and the bed was comfortable. The location also made it easy to get around downtown.

From the front desk to housekeeping and valet, everyone made me feel welcome. I wish I could remember all the names, but I especially want to thank Jamillah, Trey, Michelle, Mason, Tyler, Andre, Nathan, Dejon, Holden, Robert, James, Josh, Ben, and Luc. They all gave top-notch service. Nathan runs a professional valet crew, and they were quick and reliable. I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend the hotel.

I was in Raleigh for work in January 2026, and the location worked well for downtown, though it's a bit far from the main shopping areas and there aren't really any nearby Walgreens or CVS. The one thing I really disliked was the lobby scent, which is my complaint at every Marriott. The service, though, was outstanding. I became very ill and ended up in hospital, far from home in the UK. When I got back, the staff took such good care of me. They arranged for me to keep my room when work booked two extra nights, brought me lots of water, and gave me a free breakfast voucher in case I slept through the shorter concierge lounge hours. The room and hotel were comfortable, and I was incredibly grateful for their kindness.
