Brickyard Inn

Check-in was pleasant, even though I arrived close to the 10 p.m. closing time. The room was plain and clean, with no extras. I'm not especially fussy about cleanliness, so someone who is might judge it differently. Mine faced the road and I could hear some traffic; rooms at the back of the lot might be quieter.

I was visiting from Australia and spent one night at the Brickyard while traveling around. I just needed the basics, a clean room, decent bed, and a clean bathroom with hot water, and it delivered on all of that. Reception was great, and the owner gave me a good tip on where to find a beer and a nice meal. Happy as, I'd stay again.

Ms. Lucy stayed up to let us in and greeted us with a smile, and the rates are still the best in town. The owners, Mike and Ruth, have created a wholesome, Christian atmosphere, and they've helped people even when it meant a loss for themselves. God bless them, and may God preserve The Brickyard. The room felt cozy, almost like home but better. After the heat on the drive, the AC was wonderful. The bed was the softest and most comfortable I've found across the 41 states I've visited, and the sheets and towels were clean and soft. There was a fridge, desk, TV, microwave, nightstand, shelves, and the other amenities you'd want. The bathroom was clean, spacious, and stocked with the expected toiletries, even for a bigger person like me lol.

Such a cute little motel, and you can park right outside your room. It was just right for a stop on our cross-country drive with our baby and cat. The owner chatted with us as we left and was really sweet, just making sure we'd enjoyed our stay.
