Motel 7 Rawlins

The room was very cold even with the heater running, and the shower looked a little scary. The tiles around the toilet base moved, and there were no shower towels. There was only one small trash can, outside the bathroom, which is really gross for women needing to throw away used items. One bedside light didn’t work, so the single working light wasn’t much help. It was late when we arrived, other people were blocking the parking near our room, and the front door had to be slammed to shut. Fine if all you want is a place to sleep and leave.

The heater only worked when it felt like it, a serious problem in the middle of winter, and the bed felt like sleeping on the floor. This was one of the most uncomfortable motels I’ve stayed in. Never again. This hotel should be shut down.

The workers were nice, but I saw a bedbug as soon as I sat on the bed in our room. Please take care of the beds. That’s unacceptable, and I wouldn’t come back.

The guy at the front desk was really kind and helpful. There’s no breakfast, and the place isn’t perfectly pristine, but it felt clean and safe, with welcoming staff. It’s not fancy, but it wasn’t sketchy or dirty either. Fresh paint, clean sheets and bedding, everything well stocked, and good air conditioning. If you need somewhere to sleep, it does the job.
