Rodeway Inn Red Oak

I booked the room for an employee, and his stay was terrible. He arrived at 3am, as noted on the reservation, but the front desk person, who clearly “lives” behind the desk, had to be woken up. The room was old, outdated, and had paper-thin walls, so he could hear the neighbors’ entire conversations during the few hours he was there. Housekeeping arrived at 8am, pounding on the door and announcing their entrance. He packed up and left. We won’t use this location again.

Breakfast was barely an option, with only cereal, toast, and waffles. Still, we had a good stay in Room 112. The hotel seems well kept after a recent renovation, especially for the price. Our ground floor room was quiet, with a working fridge and microwave, an easy-opening window, and a soft memory foam bed. The bathroom was clean, with a sizable bathtub and even a heat lamp.

A very affordable, homey place to stay, with friendly staff who were quiet and accommodating. The rooms were clean and the location in town was great. Breakfast was a bit lackluster, mostly carbs, but we definitely enjoyed the waffles. We’ll stay again when we come back to Red Oak.

Right off the highway, this was a very clean hotel and an incredible value for the price. The staff went above and beyond and accommodated our needs. Breakfast was great for getting us back on the road the next morning. Highly recommend!
