Best Western Plus Redondo Beach Inn

The rooms were spacious, and the hotel was clean and well kept. Staff were friendly, and the location worked well, with many restaurants and the beach a short drive or walk away. A good place to stay.

We couldn’t get a decent night’s rest. People in rooms on both sides were talking for half the night, and someone on the other side was fighting on the phone at 5am. It sounded like she was in our room. There’s no insulation. They also charged extra when we checked out early. The place is a dump and not in a good location, too far to walk anywhere. We checked into Sonesta on Harbor dr instead. It was nice, close to restaurants, insulated, and clean.

I stayed for three weeks, and the rooms were clean, the staff helpful, and the location good, with several restaurants nearby and King Harbor only a few minutes away. Breakfast had lots of choices, including eggs, sausage/bacon, taters, yogurt, waffles, cereal, and oatmeal. The main issue was that cell phones didn’t seem to work in the rooms. Two of my coworkers had the same problem.

The room’s cleaning was poor, and I’d tell anyone staying here to keep their shoes on indoors. My wife walked around on the carpet and her feet turned pitch black. It had been vacuumed, but I doubt it had ever been shampooed or steam cleaned. The headboards were covered in fingerprints, which I only noticed when the light hit at the right angle. The AC / heater filter looked like it had never been cleaned or replaced. On our first night my wife woke at 3am hacking from all the dust in the air. Staff either neglect the basic cleaning or Best Western doesn’t enforce it.
