Best Western Redondo Beach Galleria Hotel - Beach City LA

Arash, the manager, was kind and caring, and went out of his way to make sure I had a top notch experience. The customer service was absolutely amazing. The hotel is well managed and a great choice in the area.

The room was unacceptable, even though the location itself wasn’t bad. I booked two nights and found stains and hair on the bed, plus stains on the bathroom floor and mat. The mattress looked dirty too. When I came back later in the day after leaving in the morning, my key card didn’t work. I had to wait 10 minutes in the lobby for a replacement. After checkout I called to report everything; they said someone would contact me in a few days. No one did, and when I followed up several days later, they said they had no record of my first call. The service was extremely poor, and I wouldn’t recommend it even for a short visit.

The rooms are nice and clean, and housekeeping is always friendly. I usually stay here when I’m in LA because it’s central to everything, with a mall just up the street. Everyone, from the staff to the manager, is friendly and ready to help make my stay comfortable. I enjoy coming here and plan to keep staying here when I’m in town.

The photos used to advertise this hotel deserve a promotion, because I’d never stay here again or recommend it to anyone I like. The walls are paper thin, the neighborhood isn’t great, and all rooms have outside access. My feet got dirty just walking from the shower to the bed. The bed was old and creeky, there was no trim at floor level and a gap for bugs, and the toilet and sink plumbing were clogged. At check-in, the man was rude, more or less grunting at me and visibly annoyed that I didn’t know the plate on my rental car. One star is the lowest rating, or I’d give zero.
