Homewood Suites by Hilton Los Angeles Redondo Beach

We left feeling satisfied with the value and the stay. The location felt safe and convenient, and the hotel was quiet, clean, and comfortable, with courteous, professional staff. Breakfast was better than at any comparable hotel we’ve stayed in. Our room was clean and in excellent repair, and housekeeping was timely and efficient. We called ahead to request a disability accommodation, and it was arranged and handled with aplomb.

During check-in they charged a $500 deposit to my card, and five days after checkout it still hadn’t been returned. I also never got the final receipt they promised to email, and they haven’t responded to my emails. In all my travels around the world, this is the first time I’ve had this happen, especially since the description said nothing about a deposit. We also found hair on the bed and in the bathroom when we checked in. After housekeeping one day, there was a dirty rag with hair on it on the nightstand. The hotel itself isn’t bad, but these things ruined my entire vacation.

Jazmin made my hotel experience much better than I expected. Her warm smile and positive attitude at breakfast each morning set a nice tone for the day. She was attentive, sweet, and quick to make sure guests had what they needed. She kept everything stocked, helped people find things, and checked in with a kind word. It’s clear she cares about people and takes pride in her work. She’s a big reason I’d return, and she deserves recognition for the service she gives every day.

We stayed 3-4 days, and no one came to clean the suite or bring towels. The fridge was broken and never worked, and they charge $20 to park at the hotel. I’m also still waiting on my security deposit after checking out on 12/28. Whenever I contact them, they give me the runaround instead of returning my money. It was the worst hotel suite experience I’ve had, with awful service from start to finish and zero accountability. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
