The walk to the beach was about 10-15 minutes, which worked really well for me, and I’d happily return. The staff were kind and helpful, and my room was spotless, honestly nicer than some pricier hotels I’ve stayed in. Maybe it had just been remodeled. There wasn’t a hair dryer or ironing board in the room, though I didn’t need either one and I’m not sure if reception has them. One thing to know before you arrive: even if you booked through a third-party site, paying upfront requires a credit card, not a debit card, plus a $100 deposit that you get back at checkout. I wish I’d known to bring cash.

I had a great stay last week in July, 2014, and the room was clean when I checked in. The manager welcomed me at the door and got me settled quickly. Two days after leaving, I realized I’d forgotten something in the room. I called, and the manager found it right away, mailed it the next day, and wouldn’t let me pay the postage. That’s great service. Clean, affordable, and I’ll definitely come back.

It felt more like staying in a high-end studio apartment than a hotel. The place and rooms are brand new and spotless, and the beds, Purple or Casper, are better than the one I have at home. The owners are so nice and really go out of their way to make you comfortable and happy. I definitely want to come back.

They keep calling to make sure you check out right at 11am, and when I went back to get my bags the owners just stared at me. The AC was so loud I couldn’t sleep, and they vacuumed before 8am, loud enough to hear. The rooms smelled like bleach. They threw towels and bed sheets out onto the street, and the owners were disrespectful and didn’t respect guests’ privacy. There wasn’t even hand soap, so I couldn’t wash my hands after using the disgusting bathroom. Worst experience ever. I’m never staying here again.

The bed was comfortable, and it was quiet and clean while I was staying nearby with family. The price is hard to beat. It’s not a luxury place, but you can pay $200 a night or more if that’s what you want. Getting to the beach means walking about three blocks and then going down a long, steep staircase, so it may be difficult if you have physical limitations. I’d stay here again.
