Residence Inn by Marriott Los Angeles Redondo Beach

I’ve stayed here several times, but the same front desk supervisor has repeatedly been unfriendly and unhelpful. On this visit, I’d paid ahead through a third-party booking site, yet at check-in was told the payment hadn’t come through and was even told I might have to leave. I said I was willing to pay the booking price, but was asked for another $100 without anyone explaining that it was only a deposit. The whole thing could have been cleared up with better communication. I eventually went to another staff member and got a proper explanation. It was frustrating and unnecessary, and I hope management improves the desk’s communication and customer service.

The location is perfect and the service was polite, but stepping into the room was a letdown. For the price, I hoped for something really nice and memorable. It wasn’t any better than a room you could get for half as much, so I’d save the other half and book an identical room elsewhere.

Such a nice, spacious hotel for a girls’ trip with my son along too. Shout out to Tray, who helped carry my bags while my son was screaming his head off. Great staff and a great place!

We stayed with family at Residence Inn by Marriott Los Angeles Redondo Beach in August 2025, and it didn’t live up to what I expected from a Marriott. I’d asked for early check-in at 10:00 AM, but our room wasn’t ready until 5:30 PM. We were meant to get a call once it was available, and that never came. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable, but the front desk neither apologized nor acknowledged the inconvenience. The poor communication and lack of care left us disappointed. I hope management addresses this and meets the standards guests expect from Marriott.
