Admiral on Baltimore

Free parking for one vehicle during our stay was a big plus. The room was very clean, well stocked, and had plenty of towels. It wasn't especially modern inside, but it was comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. We had a great long Labor Day weekend and would definitely stay again.

We've been coming to the Admiral for years, and keep returning for the free garage parking, clean rooms, and how close it is to the boardwalk and beach. The front desk staff are always courteous and helpful, and Mary, the general manager, goes out of her way to make sure everything's to your liking. I also love having free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in the lobby around the clock. We tried a place across the street once. Its rooms were half the size and cost twice as much, and there was no free lobby coffee, so we came right back. My one wish is that they'd remove the glass roof over the pool. I prefer an outdoor pool at the beach, though I know some people like being able to swim indoors when the weather's bad. All in all, I'd give it 5++++++ stars!

We had to switch rooms three times. The first had some kind of bugs in the box spring cover, the second was moldy throughout, and the third still had some mold. I used to stay here often and never had this problem. Maybe there are new owners, I don't know. They offered no compensation for the hassle. They told me to call Beacon Hospitality, but the phone just goes to a recording.

The manager and staff were welcoming and friendly, and the location was excellent: about a minute from the beach and central to shops, the boardwalk, and restaurants. The bathroom and main room lighting were a bit dim, the tub had an odd shape, and the pool wasn't available during our stay. Still, it was a great bargain for the location. The beach itself was clean, with plenty of lifeguards. The crowd was just right, and people were peaceful and respectful. There was lots to do, and many places were within walking distance.
