We contacted the hotel after our stay at Cambria in Lewes/Rehoboth because the towels in our room were visibly dirty and the television didn't work. We had tried the hotel's chat during the stay but heard nothing back until afterward. At first, the hotel offered us a complimentary night before May 15. Our family's schedule made that impossible, so we asked for a pool pass instead, and the manager agreed. Then I got an email asking me to leave a review. I don't remember submitting one, but apparently a 3/10 survey response was recorded. The manager emailed to withdraw both the pool pass and the future stay offer, saying we'd left a poor review despite their “good faith effort.” I called to clear things up. During that conversation, he took back what he'd said in the email and acknowledged the problems we had. I appreciate that the issues were ultimately recognized, but the communication and handling felt inconsistent and unprofessional. We won't return.

This was my second stay at the Cambria, and the place seems seriously understaffed. The food was okay, but the cocktails were extremely expensive. I'm not sure whether the problem is with this property's management or higher up, but it didn't seem well managed. They ran out of food, the bartender was rude, and our room rate was overcharged. There also wasn't anywhere on the property to get coffee, tea, or water.

The restaurant has a strong local following, which says a lot. The food is fine-dining quality, and the drinks are well made. Great hotel, restaurant, and bar. I highly recommend it.

Everything went perfectly for our family birthday, from the welcome at the front door to the bar, swimming pool, and our private celebration room. The service was perfect, and we'll come back. Thank you.

A hidden gem in plain sight. The restaurant has a superb chef, and the food and cocktails are awesome. Service is good, and the place has a loyal local crowd, me included. I highly recommend both the hotel and restaurant.
