Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Rehoboth Beach

The staff were very friendly, and the location was really convenient. Our room was clean and had a decent-sized fridge. I didn’t use the pool, but it looked clean. Breakfast was okay, with bagels, muffins, and cereal, though it wasn’t especially filling.

We used the room just to shower and sleep, and didn’t try the pool or breakfast. The beach isn’t far, and we reached Dewey in under 10 minutes even with traffic. Our housekeeper checked in every day, either in the hall or by calling to ask if we needed anything. The floor could have been cleaned better, but we didn’t have other issues. We booked a non-smoking room and it smelled of smoke as soon as we walked in. The smell faded after a minute or two, though I hadn’t realized smoking rooms were still a thing. For the price, it was a good value for an Econo Lodge, especially given that we stayed five nights. I’d book again.

The photos look nothing like the hotel. Our so-called non-smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke. I took one look and walked straight back out. Absolutely disgusting, 100% do not recommend.

I came back this year after staying here a couple of years ago, hoping to give my daughter a last-minute vacation. The first room had a strong smell as soon as we opened the door, and the second room still smelled too. There’s mold on the ceiling, and the bathtub looks very uninviting. I’m nervous about turning off any lights. We booked two nights, but we may not stay for the second because we feel so uncomfortable.
