The property’s older and a bit run down, but the rooms are decent and the bed is comfortable. I also love the mirrors in the room and bathroom. What makes me recommend the place is how they care about locals. Other places have sold out and, in my view, contributed to the homelessness problem, but Desert Rose hasn’t. Thank you for that. The poolside rooms are really cool too.

The woman checking me in was pleasant and cordial, which was a plus. Still, this felt like a pretty shady place. The non-smoking rooms smelled like years of smoke, with some kind of fragrance apparently put in to cover it up. The rates are cheap if you’re looking for a bargain, but I wouldn’t bring a young family here.

We spent a week here and had a really comfortable bed. The cute room also had a mini fridge, microwave, TV, and desk area. Staff were amazing, kind, and willing to help. It was a good price in a central spot in downtown Reno. Thanks so much for the stay, Lacey!

Staff were really friendly, and I was treated well. My room had brand new carpet and a fridge, and the TV had something like 199 channels. There’s a nice pool, and casinos and affordable restaurants are close by. I’ll definitely stay again.

The staff were genuinely sweet and friendly, going out of their way to make me feel welcome and looked after. The rooms are pretty nice, though a little dated, and fine as a place to rest. The neighborhood wasn’t great, but we didn’t run into any serious trouble. There are some nice places to eat nearby.
