Sonesta ES Suites Reno

After a nine-hour travel day, we arrived around midnight exhausted and unsure we'd find a room. Our Airbnb hadn't worked out for my family. Gina greeted us with a warm smile and so much kindness at a moment I'll never forget. She completely changed our stay. We had a clean, quiet, spacious two-bedroom suite. We felt safe, the beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of room. The grounds felt welcoming too, with a roaring fire pit. We got to the free breakfast late, so the choices were limited, but we still left full. Checkout was seamless, and Gina's service went beyond what I expected. I'd happily come back.

After I checked out and boarded a plane, I realized my wedding ring was missing. I called Melissa at our first stop, and she quickly sent housekeeping to look in the room. They found the ring and brought it to her. Melissa called right away with the good news. She works at the front desk but went well beyond her duties to sort this out. Melissa and the housekeeping staff deserve five stars for their care. Thanks so much, Susie B.

The fire pit area outside was nice, and I liked that the pool was cold on a hot day, though I wish there were a hot tub. The location worked well, away from the strip but still close enough. I stayed four nights. A few things could be better: breakfast, water pressure, and the towels. There was a bug on one of the towels, which made me uneasy.

There wasn't a skillet or pan in the kitchen, so it wasn't properly stocked for cooking. The laundry room could also use a coin machine or card reader. They'd removed the shampoo and conditioner and left only half a roll of toilet paper. The rooms were spacious and nice, but the beds were hard. For the price, it wasn't a good stay, and I won't return to any of these locations.
