I remembered this place as being great when we stayed a few years ago, so this weekend's visit was a letdown. We picked it to get some privacy during a big family event, but found out on arrival that the pool was closed. The website hadn't mentioned that, and we would've booked elsewhere if we'd known. The woman at the desk was very nice and shared all the information she could. Our room seemed all right at first, though later I spotted what looked like mold on the shower ceiling. Two towels smelled strongly of unpleasant chemicals instead of seeming freshly washed. Breakfast was still supposed to be open for another hour and a half, but the juice was gone, half the food was empty, and the waffle batter looked separated. The soda machine was broken, and a wet floor sign sat by the ice machine, which seemed to keep spilling ice with nobody mopping it up. Maybe things have changed with management or staff since my last stay. I know it was the holidays, but this was really bad.

Breakfast was available, but there was very little of it. We paid extra for the castle-themed room and its Jacuzzi tub, only to find the tub didn't work, and its pump made a horrible grinding sound when switched on. The king bed sagged badly in the middle, so we kept rolling toward the center and had a hard time sleeping. There was no mattress protector on the pad. The advertised pool and hot tub weren't working either, and we weren't told until we arrived. I brought up the room problems with staff, but they brushed me off and didn't seem to care. I'm very disappointed that I paid extra for things that were obviously broken.

The breakfasts are excellent, and Applebee's is right in the parking lot, which is handy for me as a truck driver. I travel through this part of the country fairly regularly and this is a nice place to stop for the day. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and there's always coffee ready. Staff are consistently friendly and professional.

The breakfast was very good for a hotel, and the pool area was in good shape and well cared for. I chose this place while traveling to Rexburg for work because it seemed like good value, and it was about what I expected. There were a few little annoyances, but none would stop me from staying again. The room was clean and had no bad smell. The bulbs didn't match, which gave the room an odd color. The AC had three modes: freezing, hot, or just blowing air. In the bathroom, the shower head wouldn't stay where I set it, so I had to shower while squatting.
