I had my first massage today, and it was incredible. Edward explained what to expect and made me feel comfortable and respected the whole time. He was kind, professional, and really knowledgeable, adjusting the massage to focus on my pain points. He also gave me exercises to try at home for my shoulder discomfort. Edward is such a thoughtful, passionate therapist, and spending time with him felt like a gift. I'd highly recommend him if you're visiting Mirbeau for a massage.

The place felt overpriced and poorly run, and I wouldn't recommend it. Even though I was staying at the hotel, the spa team called each evening about charges I had to remind them were on my room. Signs in the room warned of charges for taking their $1 mist bottle. Getting a robe and slippers took over an hour because staff gave poor directions and assigned me unclean, used lockers without either item. I couldn't get fresh robes or slippers until the next day. The spa services were misleading, and in my experience the massages were basic and overpriced. There wasn't a comfortable place to stretch unless you took a class or lay on the gym floor, where they didn't provide a mat or towels. I parked my own car because the valet was on his phone. I wanted to leave around 1 p.m., right after checking in. The dining room was empty, but they told me to sit at the bar or eat in town without giving a reason. I sat at the bar for two hours, and the room still didn't fill, though they had wait staff. People used cell phones and talked in the quiet areas and around the outdoor spa, so it didn't feel relaxing.

The property, facilities, experience, and team were all 10/10. Ainsley was personable, knowledgeable, and helpful. Bethany impressed us with how hospitable, efficient, thoughtful, and detail-oriented she was. Mary was a superhero: professional, helpful when guests misplaced items, and effective. I'd absolutely recommend the property and its team.

I needed a weekend to quiet my mind and nervous system, but the bath water was visibly dirty. It was too late to check out then, so I emailed the manager right away and told the front desk in the morning. I still haven't heard back from the manager. They offered to clean the tub again, but didn't seem to understand why I felt uncomfortable staying at a $700-a-night hotel that couldn't ensure clean water. I brushed my teeth with bottled water and checked out immediately. Then I went across the river to the Wildflower Farm.

The service is what makes this spa stand out: the greeters were warm, and every staff member seemed kind, attentive, and invested in how my visit went. The place felt peaceful, thoughtfully designed, and impeccably maintained. I love the relaxation areas, especially the fireplace reading nook and the dim indoor room with a waterfall and fireplace. The beds, both the couple's side-by-side ones and the single ones, are so comfortable you can close your eyes and melt into calm. The amenities make it easy to spend a whole day there. There's a sauna, steam room, full gym, and outdoor jacuzzi and whirlpool area with cabanas and a fire pit. You can get drinks by the pool, and there's a diner with indoor and outdoor seating. It's a great day spa for going alone or as a couple. It's connected to a hotel in a quaint, charming town, so an overnight stay is easy. This location is a standalone destination, not inside a mall, and offers more than the others. When you call to reserve, they're upfront about that, and I agree the other locations don't compare. This is hands down my favorite day spa experience. I'm excited to try the upcoming Beacon location once it opens, but this one is unmatched for now. If you're considering it, go. You won't regret it.
