Cambria Hotel Richardson - Dallas

I stayed a few nights, and the best part was the bar service from Esra. She greeted me warmly and professionally, made spot-on drinks, and kept my Long Island ice teas coming. She was attentive and genuinely caring, with a really warm personality. The hotel was lovely as well, but that bar experience is a big reason I'll be back. Great service can make a stay, and it did for me.

We liked being able to take a short walk to nearby restaurants for dinner, and there was plenty of parking on Sunday night. The prepaid breakfast buffet was standard. The indoor pool was the reason we picked the hotel, but it needed maintenance: a chunk was missing from the bottom, the water looked cloudy, and rust was coming from three spots in an underwater corner. The clean towels were a plus, but we decided not to swim. Our first room on the fourth floor felt like a motel, with peeling walls, water damage on a cabinet, a musty smell, and a run-down feel. Staff were kind and accommodating when I asked to move us. The second room, also on the fourth floor, smelled better and had less damage, plus a great sunset view over Dallas. The front desk called to check that we were satisfied.

We enjoyed our stay and would absolutely come back. The rooms and hallways were very clean, and the hallways were quiet. There's a kitchen and a bar on the first floor, plus a snack station across from the front desk. It's a non-smoking hotel, so smokers have to go out to the parking lot. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. They charge a $100 incidental fee, which you can get back at checkout. The grounds were clean and there wasn't any riff raff hanging around. Good value for the money.

We slept like babies, and the bedding was comfortable enough that I even looked up what kind of mattresses the hotel line uses. The room had plenty of space for three adults, and the rate was very good. The modern hotel was clean, fresh, and well maintained. The whole staff were great, pleasant, and friendly, and their communication and responses by text were really good. While I was writing this, I overheard two other guests complimenting them. I'd recommend the hotel and stay again.
