Hampton Inn Richfield

The staff were very friendly, and the town helped make the stay worthwhile, with great places to eat and some of the friendliest people. The hotel itself was VERY subpar. The room was clean, but the walls are thin, so you'll hear people, especially when their doors slam. My door wouldn't latch by itself unless I pushed or pulled it to make sure. The coat hooks were loose, and the toilet paper was single ply. Breakfast was a letdown too: the sausage was bland, and the apple juice tasted basically like apple-flavored water. I paid 146 for one night, about twice what I think the quality was worth. If you want a good night's sleep, go somewhere else.

Staff were friendly whenever I passed them, from the manager to maintenance and cleaning. The room was small, with too much extra furniture, but it was very clean at check-in and the bed was comfortable. The first night I left the do not disturb sign up. At 6am I found a note under the door saying the cleaners had already passed by because of it. I arranged at the front desk to have the room cleaned, but it was still skipped that day. The breakfast was disappointing enough that after the first morning I went elsewhere. Hotels should serve better food, especially for what a room costs. Inmates get better quality meals than this.

We had a great stay and would definitely return. The rooms had tasteful decor, a pleasant feel, and a nice layout. Breakfast offered a wide variety of food, and the location was great. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

The room was quiet, and I appreciate that the gym is being renovated, but the condition of this Hampton Inn in Rifle was disappointing. I expected Hilton quality and didn't get it. The room looked dirty overall, with peeling wallpaper, stains on the carpet and lampshades, a burned-out bulb, and cracked, moldy caulking in the tub. The wall-mounted lotion and shampoo pumps had been pulled out, and there was a noticeable gap under the door. I wouldn't choose to stay here again.
