Days Inn by Wyndham Richmond Hill/Savannah

I was only there one night, and wouldn't stay again. The room was large, but the floors were filthy, the mirror was dirty, and the sheets had black marks and a blob of something like glue in one corner. I was glad I'd brought my own sheets and used them on the bed. At least the toilet and sink were clean. The location was also too far from downtown.

We will never stay at this Days Inn again. After we got our broken down truck in southern Georgia, we were too tired to drive, so I booked a room from the parking lot. We had driven from NC to southern Georgia without stopping since SC, and got there after midnight. The TV didn't work, so I walked back to the office to ask for a room change. The clerk acted like I was a bother. I told her I'd called 22 times and, if she'd answered, I wouldn't have had to walk over. She was on her cell speaking a language I didn't know. It took her half an hour to check us in while she pulled card details from our Wyndham account. About an hour later, our card company sent a fraud alert: a $125.77 charge at Papa John's in Richmond Hill, GA was declined. She hadn't charged us for the room, and it looked to me like she had taken our card details from Wyndham. We later found a $77.66 Papa John's charge in Charlotte, NC that our card company had let through. Apparently, she gave our information to a friend there. The desk clerk was a very dark-skinned foreign lady. We spoke with the manager the next morning, and he said he'd handle it because she'd worked there a long time. His attitude changed when I said I wondered how much money he had lost from her not charging guests and taking their information instead. Before we knew what had happened, I'd already gone down to ask about changing rooms because the TV didn't work. Watch your credit card if you stay there.

The motel offered breakfast, but there was no milk, apple juice, fruit, or yogurt. All they had were four tiny muffins, waffles without syrup, and cereal, but one cereal bin was empty and there was no milk anyway. It's sad to stay somewhere like this. I'd look for another place.

The front desk staff were really nice, but the rooms were disappointing. My first room smelled strongly of mildew. The second wasn't much better, though at least it didn't smell. The empty room next to us looked nice, with hardwood floors and a new bed. I've got one more night here, then I'm done. I won't recommend it or come back.
