Hampton Inn & Suites Ridgecrest

The pool area was on the small side, but it was very clean, and the gym was clean too. Our room was spotless, and the double bed rooms had a little more space, which worked perfectly with kids. The front desk also helped us sort out a complicated extra day on our stay. One of our best stays in a while.

Evan knows the Ridgecrest area as well as the hotel, and whether you’re visiting for the first time or coming back, he makes you feel welcome and informed. His years of dedication come through in how kind and committed he is. We’ve always liked staying at the Hampton Inn in Ridgecrest, and Evan is a big reason why. He handles problems with patience and professionalism, and consistently takes extra care to make guests feel looked after. Hampton is lucky to have him. The rooms are nice, and breakfast had fruit, cereal, milk, yoghurt, oatmeal and pastries, along with eggs, bacon, and pork sausage in different forms each day. There were two waffle makers, one for banana bread waffles and one for plain waffles. A lot of the other options weren't things I could eat. A few things around the building were frustrating. The elevator floor plate that should have marked the first floor was lying on the floor when we arrived. The pool doors only worked about half the time. The dog area is gravel, and getting there means walking around the pool even though pets aren't allowed in the pool area or several other spots. There is a sidewalk, but it doesn't connect to anywhere else, and it ends without a ramp for dogs who might need one. The shower doors leaked every time I showered, leaving the floor and my bath mat wet.

The welcome basket was the highlight. Danielle and I were treated like VIPs as soon as we checked in, and the room was comfortable and very clean. The staff were amazing too. Great job, Hampton 👏
