Elker Inn & Suites

My room, 103, was very clean and the location was great. I'd heard other people mention noisy pipes, but I didn't hear anything. They also mailed back the toiletry kit I'd left behind.

We were glad to find breakfast waiting in the morning, with cereals, pastries, toast, bagels, milk, juice, and coffee. Our family only stayed one night, but the town seemed cute and the location was convenient, with a great restaurant and a few shops within walking distance. The parking lot was well lit, which helped us feel safe when we arrived late. The modern room was extremely clean, cleaner than some big-name hotels we've visited lately. We'd definitely stay again.

The room was clean and updated, and the check-in host was accommodating over the phone. But I travel a lot, and the noise made it hard to sleep. The walls are so thin I could hear ordinary conversations next door, every footstep creaked through the floors, and the pipes rattled whenever someone turned water on or off. For the price, the amenities don't add up: there was no on-site worker, hot breakfast, elevator, or security at the front door. They're charging name-brand rates for a local-inn experience. I won't stay again now that I know what it's like. The value just isn't there.

We stopped here for a night with the family on the way to Canada, and I was very pleased with the place. It's a small hotel in a quiet town, and everything was very clean. Checking in by phone was easy and convenient, the code arrived right away, and the beds were very comfortable. The room and bathroom were clean too. Highly recommend.
