Days Inn by Wyndham Riverside Tyler Mall

The room was okay, but I felt uncomfortable and unsafe the whole time. There was a large group of homeless people outside by the check-in window, and you couldn’t enter the locked office. The same setup was there at checkout. At 1:30 in the morning, kids or other people were running around and making all kinds of noise. It was a crazy stay.

Bedbugs in the beds were the worst part. Before bringing your things into a room, check the beds carefully. My daughter noticed a cigarette smell when we went inside, and then we saw damage to the walls, beds, bathroom, furniture, and more. There were homeless people outside the parking lot and people selling stolen perfume in the hallways on our first night. The experience was horrible. I don’t recommend this hotel.

We booked four nights but checked out the next morning after a terrible night in the room. There were roach nymphs everywhere, even on the headboard, and we were afraid our toddler would get bitten. The toilet wasn’t kept up, the room floor and curtains felt dusty and dirty, and the shower heater didn’t work. We also waited about 30 minutes to check in at 2:45 p.m. because no one was at the front desk. The online amenities were misleading: there was no breakfast, no pantry, no proper lobby, and the pool wasn’t clean or maintained. It was an unpleasant stay. We thought Days Inn by Wyndham was a reputable hotel, but we were wrong.

There’s no breakfast, despite the claim, and the front desk staff are rude. My keycards kept deactivating and had to be reactivated the next day. The rooms have holes in the walls and furniture, cockroaches and bedbugs, plus a strong smell of roach droppings. The walls are thin, so you hear everything from next door and outside. They charge a $100 deposit, and people with drug problems are allowed to sleep in the parking lot. This place sucks.
