It was clean and I didn’t see any bugs, and the man at the counter was really nice. Still, pulling up, I honestly thought the place might be abandoned. It had that sort of feel. I’m pretty sure I was the only woman there; the other four cars looked like they belonged to men. Around 11:30 p.m., some guys were talking outside a bit too loudly when I needed to get up early and keep driving.

RIVIERA turned out to be a comfortable stop for my family. The bathroom was clean, and the room smelled strongly of bleach as soon as I came in, which I actually found reassuring. There were tiny stains on the sheets, though I couldn’t tell what they were from. They didn’t ruin my peace of mind, and I used my travel blanket and slept like a baby. We’d made a last-minute Friday night trip to Mexico, and my husband, kids, and I were exhausted and looking for somewhere to sleep. The nearby hotels I called were all over $100-$150, and after a past experience with roaches I was wary of just picking any place. RIVIERA was very affordable, and we were all comfortable. Great experience, I’d definitely recommend it.

The staff were rude, and the bathroom was nasty and had no air. In the morning I saw what looked like bed bugs. The room wasn’t clean either and had some toxic smell. Staying here was the worst decision of my life. Don’t go if you need a good night’s sleep.

The family who owns this place were great and helped with anything I needed. The rooms get cleaned daily, the beds are comfortable, and there’s a nice pool. Each room has its own parking spot, and there’s food nearby too. It’s a nice little place if you’re passing through or working in the area, and by far one of the best motels I’ve stayed at.

Joseph is the greatest innkeeper ever! The place is clean and quiet, though nothing fancy, and the pool is really well cared for. Rates are great, there are two propane grills and a nice deck for guests, and laundry is free. It feels like a nice home away from home.
