Hampton Inn & Suites Roanoke Airport

Breakfast was basic but clean, and the coffee and tea were good. There wasn’t water at the station, though the front desk gladly gave me bottles. I checked out online after a satisfying three-day stay, and I’d return. If you need an airport shuttle, you can arrange it at the desk. This wasn’t my first choice for the trip, but the value worked out well and the property has been renovated since my last visit. It’s near the airport and an easy walk to the mall and chain restaurants. The lot was clean, with a decent amount of Diamond parking, and the signage and landscaping looked tidy. Staff made check-in a pleasure. I appreciated the warm cookies after the drive, and the lobby was being mopped and cleaned when I arrived. My status was recognized, and I got water and free parking. The digital key initially failed, but they reset it. My room was ready, stocked with bath supplies, and looked fresh after the renovations. The tub had a nonslip bottom and the shower had strong pressure. The TV and fridge worked for me, and the alarm clock had several electronic jacks. My main annoyance was keeping the room cool. The sensor may have been the problem, but it was frustrating, even if it wasn’t a huge deal.

We used the meeting room last night, and the team went above and beyond to help us. Lyric and Kevin were right there with whatever we needed. Both elevators were out, so hauling luggage up the stairs was a real pain. That was the big downside. The staff were friendly and breakfast had a decent selection. It’s only a few minutes from the ROA airport, and I’d stay here again if I were in the area.

We didn’t have a reservation, but Shaq at the front desk made us feel welcome and was really helpful. He found us a great room and gave us plenty of snacks.
