Ramada by Wyndham Rochelle Park Near Paramus

It's a very nice place to stay, but a few things need attention. The ice machines need cleaning and servicing. I saw black mold inside the tray, and black specks or brown stuff ended up in a cup of ice, so I recommend avoiding the machine. Sometimes the microwave or TV won't work either. I've stayed here plenty of times. They have two elevators now, but only one works.

For the price, you get a lot for your money. It's good value, reasonably clean, and breakfast is included. My room had a safe, refrigerator, microwave, iron and full-size ironing board, blow dryer, and coffee maker. The hotel is right off the Garden State Parkway and convenient to my workplace, restaurants, and shopping. I'd ask for an even-numbered room on the side away from the Garden State Parkway.

The front desk staff were lovely and the location was excellent, but the non-smoking room had clearly been smoked in. Cigarette smell was everywhere in the hotel, and getting inside meant walking through a wall of smokers. The room was tatty, and the whole place needs a total remodeling. There was a tea maker in the bathroom, which seemed weird, along with three cups and three lids. The second lid was filthy, with some red substance on it. I did appreciate how my towels were folded, but I didn't leave a tip because the cup lids were filthy. See photos.

It's a decent motel off Route 4 in New Jersey, and my stay in Room 159 was pleasant. The room had two queen beds. It was quiet, the beds were big and comfortable, the water was hot, and the basics were there: clean sheets and towels, toiletries, microwave, fridge, and a large TV. The outlets on the lamps didn't work, but that was no big deal since I plugged into the wall. Some of the complaints sound like people think they're too special for this place. It's just fine. There are plenty of Marriotts, Hyatts, and Hiltons around if you'd rather spend two or three times as much.
