The room was clean, but old and poorly maintained, with stains on the bathroom floor, a curtain rod nearly coming off the wall, and cracks in the ceiling. The light switches seemed to be on a motion sensor timer, so I had to mash my hand where a switch should be and wait for the lights. The TV in room 203 didn’t work, but it was late and I didn’t call the desk. I spent 15 minutes trying to get it going before giving up. The window AC thermostat did nothing either, so the room stayed too warm and clammy despite setting it to 68°. I grabbed coffee on my way out and skipped the cold cereal and cellophane-wrapped muffin. For less than $100, it’s a bed just off the highway. If you want more, look elsewhere.

Friendly staff went above and beyond. It was quiet, with no traffic coming and going, and there were no bed bugs. Semi truck and trailer parking is available on both sides of the establishment. Great place to stay, all around.

We had two rooms reserved by my brother-in-law, but at check-in the woman said there was no credit card on file, even though he’d already provided one. The towel situation was awful. There were only three in our rooms, and when we asked for more, we were told we could have just one. They were threadbare, and drying off was a challenge. We were asked to bag the dirty towels so they could be replaced the next day, but none were. For two rooms and eight people, we got only four fresh towels after asking again. On Monday there were no new towels, and the trash still hadn’t been taken out. We had to borrow towels from my mother-in-law, take them to her house, and wash them so we could shower Tuesday. Around 130 on Tuesday, a family emergency meant we had to leave for Chicago. I explained this to the front desk girl and the manager on duty, but they wouldn’t refund Tuesday night. They said they might be full and wouldn’t have time to service the rooms. They hadn’t serviced them during our stay, and it was never a full house. When I went back for our things, the housekeeper was in the hallway talking on her phone. I’d have gladly paid for a late checkout, but the awful conditions didn’t deserve a full night’s pay.

The room was okay, but it didn’t feel very clean. The remote wouldn’t work with the 32" TV, and the bathroom was old, with old fixtures and a toilet about 12" off the floor. Haha, free falling now. The desk person was friendly, but that was my only interaction. It needs a remodel, and breakfast was pretty weak.
