Holiday Inn Express and Suites Rochester

The room was quiet and clean, and the location worked for what we needed that night. Check-in, though, was unpleasant. I was reaching into my purse for my license while the staff member explained where the elevator was. When I didn't immediately turn to look, he reprimanded me. He could have waited until I handed over my license before explaining.

We booked this Holiday Inn for a nearby friend's wedding. The room was very clean, and the service was good, though nothing out of the ordinary. Across the road there's an outlet with restaurants, shops, and a Walmart, which came in handy for things like shampoo or toothpaste. It's also close to the highway if you need to head out quickly. Breakfast was just okay, like it is at most hotels. A good option if you're staying in the area.

Carlton made my co-worker and me feel more welcome than I've ever felt walking into a hotel. His service was top-notch, and he deserves a raise. The rooms are clean and cozy, and I'd recommend staying here.

The rooms are clean, and the service is friendly for the most part. Driving into Rochester is tricky, though. Turn left into the gas station, then look for an unmarked sort of frontage road that goes behind the restaurant.
