Rodeway Inn

I was angry to hear that they wouldn't refund the stay even though I had proof of the filth. There's no one available at night, and the receptionist was rude and disrespectful. She got mad when I reported roaches and stained sheets. The soap in the bathroom was supposed to be new and sealed, but the package was open and it looked used. The bed was hard, and the headboard was glued to the wall. They offer no breakfast or extra amenities. I think the Budget Inn is better than this roachtel. It's filthy and unsanitary, and I'll report it to the health department.

For little money in a little town, this is a decent place to lay your head. I've traveled all over the world for work and live out of hotel suitcases, so I know it's no Hilton or Hyatt. It's a good little place for what it costs. The pool area was awesome, the staff were great, and it's close to what you need since everything in Rockdale is nearby. It was clean and everything worked, which makes it pretty good value. It's Roadway Inn, so not the best, but definitely not the worst. Maybe the negative reviews came from bad timing or expectations that were too high. I'd guess the latter.

When the snowstorm hit Texas, my water and power went out, so I was glad to hear they had a vacancy. They had an open room, and the single night came to $45.15 total, which I believe was very affordable.

I thought $45.95 plus tax was a good price for a queen bed. The staff were very polite, and I liked how large the pool area was.
